Former sweetgrass weaver’s home on Highway 17 N
Mount Pleasant, SC
This abandoned home is near the intersection with Highway 41 in Mount Pleasant, and is threatened by the frequent development to the road. As a historic building in its own right, the former home of a Gullah sweetgrass basket weaver, it is as threatened, if not more so, as many of the historic buildings in the Charleston area.
