Towell Library
College of Charleston campus
Towell Library, built in 1855, served as the College’s first library. It held approximately 45,000 books, compared to the College’s Addlestone Library today, with a capacity of 1 million volumes. Towell Library is designated a National Historic Landmark.

Sottile Theater Box Office
44 George Street
The Sottile is a performing-arts venue for the College of Charleston and the community, hosting events ranging from ballets to Broadway musicals, concerts and operas. Since its opening in 1927, the theatre (formerly known as the Gloria Theater) has been a true asset to both the College of Charleston and the Charleston community.
