the holy city

Images of downtown as well as West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, James and Johns Islands, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, etc. Because Charleston is the best city in America!
Submissions are welcome, y'all. FY Charleston!

Anonymous asked: Are any of these pictures your own photography? If so what kind of camera do you use?

Some of them are mine, yes, all the ones tagged my photos. My camera isn’t anything terribly special, although I like it well enough. It’s a Nikon S9100. Thanks for the question!

Hermit crab shellFolly Beach, SC
I found this one at the edge of the water, hoping it was empty, but alas, there was a hermit crab inside (you can faintly see its legs in this photo). This is at the western edge of the island, where if you wade out into the water, it isn’t sand you’re wading into, but pluff mud. There at low tide, you’ll find all sorts of crabs scuttling along underwater, as well as hiding from willets.
